Yesterday, September 25, 2025, the \u201cFire Detection and Fire Protection\u201d<\/strong> conference was held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, attracting a record number of participants from the fire safety, industrial, and energy sectors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Among the speakers was our expert Vedran Mihaljevi\u0107<\/strong>, who delivered a highly engaging presentation titled \u201cFire Protection of Electrical Cabinets in the Era of Photovoltaic Systems and EV Charging Stations.\u201d<\/strong> In his presentation, Vedran thoroughly outlined the challenges of protecting electrical cabinets that power photovoltaic installations and electric vehicle chargers, emphasizing the importance of early-stage fire suppression and the role of local micro-extinguishing systems in reducing damage and risks to both users and firefighters.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The conference covered key topics in fire detection and protection, including regulatory developments<\/strong>, new technologies for fire detection and protection systems<\/strong>, challenges in installing and safeguarding photovoltaic systems<\/strong>, and safety in energy storage for batteries and electric vehicles<\/strong>.
