Yesterday, September 25, 2025, the “Fire Detection and Fire Protection” conference was held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, attracting a record number of participants from the fire safety, industrial, and energy sectors.
Among the speakers was our expert Vedran Mihaljević, who delivered a highly engaging presentation titled “Fire Protection of Electrical Cabinets in the Era of Photovoltaic Systems and EV Charging Stations.” In his presentation, Vedran thoroughly outlined the challenges of protecting electrical cabinets that power photovoltaic installations and electric vehicle chargers, emphasizing the importance of early-stage fire suppression and the role of local micro-extinguishing systems in reducing damage and risks to both users and firefighters.
The conference covered key topics in fire detection and protection, including regulatory developments, new technologies for fire detection and protection systems, challenges in installing and safeguarding photovoltaic systems, and safety in energy storage for batteries and electric vehicles. Participants exchanged experiences through panel discussions, presented examples of implemented solutions, explored the integration of fire detection systems with other technical protection systems, and were introduced to the long-awaited innovations in Ajax fire detection systems, which will soon be part of our product portfolio.
This event once again confirmed that knowledge sharing and innovation are essential for advancing fire protection standards.
