After several intense hours of indoor training last Saturday, we knew we needed a reset. And what better place for that than Plitvice Lakes on a crisp, truly wintery day? Although we were greeted by low temperatures (the mercury hovered around zero), the atmosphere among the Alarm automatika team was anything but cold.
A Challenge Worthy of a Genius
To make sure that our connection with nature didn’t overshadow the most important one – human connection – we organised a photography challenge during our guided tour of the lakes, inspired by Nikola Tesla. Divided into groups of 15, we were tasked with capturing through the lens the spirit of a man who thought faster than today’s Wi-Fi.
Our “photo challenge” revolved around four key themes:
- Tesla and the numbers 3, 6, and 9
The search for perfect balance and the exact number of elements in the frame – because with Tesla, “almost” simply isn’t good enough. - Tesla – the lone wolf
A portrayal of an unrecognised genius ahead of his time, observed with confusion by the surrounding crowd. - Tesla’s perspective
Capturing unusual angles and unexpected viewpoints. - A Plitvice postcard
A group photo bursting with togetherness and energy – the kind that instantly makes you want to join us.
A Passionate Battle for Alarm automatika Medals
The competitive spirit was at its peak. In the race for the prestigious title of the most “Tesla-esque” team and valuable prizes, everyone gave it their all. Not even the biting Lika cold could stop us; while other tourists clutched their scarves, our team members defied winter with creativity and song.
From searching for a white dove to capturing seemingly impossible shots from a “Tesla perspective,” each team displayed an impressive level of “controlled madness.” That shared enthusiasm once again proved that when there’s a great idea and good energy, there are no obstacles – not even temperature-related ones.
Congratulations to the winning team!
