Following the seminar held in late March in Osijek, the seminar Audio-Visual Communication in Emergency Situations in Public Spaces was also delivered in Rijeka on April 16, 2026, with live participation available via Zoom.
The event gathered more than 600 participants in total, predominantly licensed designers from Croatia, along with around 50 professionals from neighboring countries. Such a high level of attendance would not have been possible without the support of the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers and the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers, who included the seminar in their official professional development programs. We sincerely thank them for their trust.
Our colleagues Vedran Mihaljević and Velimir Drakulić shared their extensive experience in the planning, design, and implementation of various audio-visual signaling solutions for emergency situations in public spaces. They presented a range of practical examples, while also highlighting the vast potential of modern technologies and IoT — from environmental condition detection and signaling to monitoring energy and water consumption, as well as air quality tracking.
