Organized by Zaštita magazine, the conference Security 360° – Children and Youth, dedicated to the safety and security of children in educational institutions, was held in Zagreb on November 5, 2026. The event brought together more than a hundred representatives of institutions involved in the upbringing and education of children and young people, as well as representatives of private security companies.
More than twenty speakers and panelists discussed various aspects of security. Renata Dončević, Director of Project Operations at Alarm Automatika, delivered a presentation titled Risk Assessment – The First Step in the Protection Educational Institutions. Without risk assessment security measures are mere guesswork, sometimes too expensive, and sometimes insufficient. In her presentation, she described the types of threats as well as threat and security parameters used to quantify the risk assessment for each individual educational institution.
The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia, and the Croatian Security Association.
