Alarm automatika hosted Hikvision’s unique world 2019 wheel Roadshow

The world’s largest manufacturer of video surveillance cameras and equipment has aroused great interest from the professional public in Croatia these days. In cooperation with Alarm Automatika, one of the national distributors, one of Hikvision’s three giant trucks visited Rijeka, where Alarm Automatika brought together its partners and installers.

As the largest manufacturer of video surveillance equipment in the world for the last 7-8 years, Hikvision has left nothing to chance, and this year they repeated the apparently successful recipe tried out last year. Three giant trucks have been transformed into a luxurious 65 square meter showroom with the latest technology, products and solutions and launched on a pan-European tour. From February to June, they toured the whole of Europe, visited a total of 70 cities and brought together tens of thousands of security experts. Carrying Hikvision’s message ” Embracing Convergence for Success”, this fall, all three trucks embarked on another leg of the tour, and one of the trucks completed its route – in Rijeka!

The motto of the European tour is ” Embracing Convergence for Success”. According to Antun Kresimir Buterin, Director of Marketing for the Adriatic Market, Hikvision presented its latest integrated solutions with this exhibition. “In addition to video surveillance, by which we have become famous and for 7-8 years we hold the 1st place as the largest manufacturer in the world, part of our message on convergence, ie. deep integration consists of security systems, alarm systems, radar systems and access control. – enriched by the latest advances in technology – artificial intelligence”, Buterin points out.

The most attractive part of the exhibition was certainly touring of the luxury truck interior, where many different advanced technological solutions were presented live. First, Hikvision presented how exactly convergence works in their way. It is a deep multi-layered integration of video surveillance, intrusion systems, alarm systems, access control, radar and the latest technology powered by Deep Learning algorithms. Convergence is therefore behind the integration of CCTV with all non-video security systems.

“So far, every security system has worked for itself, but thanks to convergence, we now get information from other systems, such as alarms from the alarm system, access control data, and video intercom calls. Now, for every event, we can capture video from any camera in the system and view all events from only one location on the recorder”, explains Andrej Cesek, Hikvision’s sales engineer. Convergence is a key success factor for Hikvision because it enables customers to dramatically save time and money, use security systems faster and more efficiently, and extend them more easily.

Of course, video surveillance systems played a major role in the truck – the famous IP camera lines Easy IP and the Turbo HD analogue systems of cameras and recorders. The most important novelties are the innovative ColorVu and AcuSense technologies. ColorVu allows full colour capture day and night, while AcuSense offers classification and filtering by people and vehicles, reducing false alarms by as much as 80%!

The latest series of panoramic cameras, up to 32Mpix, has also been introduced. They are mostly used in warehouses, parking lots, airports, stadiums … wherever there are large spaces. Emphasis is also placed on DarkFighter and DarkfighterX, a series of cameras that, even in very low light, offer high-quality colour images. These cameras are most used in casinos, perimeter protection, wherever we need quality recognition of people and vehicles – day and night.

Part of the truck has been reserved for thermal cameras, whose main advantage is that they guarantee the same image both day and night, because the light does not affect their operation. They can be used for a variety of purposes – for perimeter protection, early fire detection and temperature measurement, border monitoring … Hikvision has also incorporated a deep learning algorithm into thermal cameras that enables easy detection of people and vehicles, making thermal cameras very reliable especially for perimeter protection.

The deep learning algorithm allows recognition of persons, faces and other intelligent functions. It’s been showed live in the truck how search works by person’s attributes – eg. by colour of clothing, gender, whether person wears glasses or bag, whether or not person is smiling…. As well were presented a face search, counting people, counting people in rows in front cashier and analysis for various statistical processing.

The truck also introduced to the market the latest generation of license plate cameras, which are now powered by the “deep learning” algorithm, too. The cameras guarantee reading tables and raising the ramp and offer statistical processing of data with the help of HikCentral Management Software.

There were also presented the latest mobile systems (cameras and recorders) intended for public transport – on buses, trains, trucks, taxis, ferries… The system allows remote monitoring of the vehicle and monitoring of the vehicle via live images.

The latest radar designed to detect and track people in larger open areas has also been introduced. Radar detects a person and sends a command to the PTZ camera, which then monitors the person throughout the protected area. The radar range is up to 120 m and the covering angle is 120°.
